Super Falcons GoalKeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie Wins Best GoalKeeper Awards in Front!
Chiamaka Nnadozie, the talented goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, has made history as the first African and Nigerian player to clinch the title of the top goalkeeper in the French D1 Arkema women's league. Her exceptional skills, particularly in saving penalties, have solidified her reputation as one of the world's finest goalkeepers.
In a tough competition, Nnadozie surpassed Christiane Endler from Olympic Lyon and Katarzyna Kiedrzynek from Paris SG to secure this prestigious individual award. Pierre Ferracci, the president of Paris FC, expressed his admiration for Nnadozie's achievements, highlighting her outstanding performance in the Champions League beyond just penalty saves.
Despite the likelihood of attracting interest from other clubs, Paris FC is keen on retaining Nnadozie, recognizing her talent and value to the team. Currently positioned third in the league standings with 42 points, Paris FC trails behind Paris Saint-Germain by eight points and Lyon by 11 points.
Grateful and thrilled about her accomplishment, Nnadozie shared her joy on social media, stating, "I am thrilled to have been named the French D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Year. A huge thank you to everyone who supported me, including my coaches, teammates, family, and fans. Your support means everything to me. GOD DID."
Adding to her list of accolades, Nnadozie was also honored as the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023, further solidifying her status as a top-tier goalkeeper in the world of women's football.
